If this happens … it means:

 (cont.)  The surrounding temperature is

below 0 °C.

Change location. The temperature

must be between +10 °C and

+40 °C. Allow the meter to warm up

slowly.

 Condensation has affected the elec-

tronics.

Let the meter dry slowly.

 The meter is defective.

Please contact the Accu-Chek

customer care line (see Chapter

14 “Local customer support and

service”).

The meter is turned on, but

the display is blank.

The display is defective.

Please contact the Accu-Chek customer

care line (see Chapter 14 “Local cus-

tomer support and service”).

If this happens … it means:

The clock has stopped

or

the clock is slow.

 The meter was exposed to a tem-

perature below –10 °C and the bat-

teries are beginning to freeze. Turn

the meter off. Let it warm up slowly.

Always keep the meter and bat teries

at temperatures between -10 °C

– +50 °C (with test strip drum:

between +2 °C – +30 °C).

When the meter is turned

on, the clock shows 0:00 or

12.00 a.m.

 The meter was exposed to a tem-

perature below -10 °C and the bat-

teries are beginning to freeze. Turn

the meter off. Let it warm up slowly.

Always keep the meter and bat teries

at temperatures between -10 °C

– +50 °C (with test strip drum: be-

tween +2 °C – +30 °C).

 The time has not been set.

Set the time as described in Chapter

3.4 “Setting the time”.
